Holiday party RSVP

A head count, with plus-ones.

Holiday party RSVPs for the whole office: yes, no or maybe, a plus-one if you allow them, and a cap if the room has one. It stops accepting when you're full, and everyone who says yes and leaves an email gets a reminder the day before.

How to set it up

  1. Set the eveningPick the date, check the times, and put the venue in “Where” with a map link.
  2. Set guests and spaceEach answer can bring one guest. Set “Total room for” to the venue's capacity, and “Yes” closes when you're full.
  3. Send the linkSend it to the whole office, by chat or email. Nobody needs an account.
  4. Confirm numbersYour private link shows the total with plus-ones counted. The answers about food are in the spreadsheet.

What helps

  • Set “Stop taking responses after” for the day the venue needs final numbers.
  • Turn on “Hide who's coming” if you'd rather people didn't see who can't make it.
  • Ask for food needs in the RSVP, not on the night. The caterer needs a week.
  • People who say yes or maybe and leave an email get a reminder the day before, with what they answered and a link back to the page.

Something to send with the link

Copy it into a text, an email or the group chat, change what you like, and paste your link at the end.

The end-of-year party is coming up, and you're invited.

Questions people ask

Can people bring more than one guest?
This template allows one each. Change “Guests each” before you make it, up to twenty.
What happens when the venue is full?
Once the head count reaches “Total room for”, “Yes” closes. People can still answer maybe or no, and anyone already coming keeps their place.
Who sees what people can't eat?
Only you and anybody helping you run the page. It's in the spreadsheet on your private link, and it isn't shown on the page.
