Christmas service RSVP

A head count before the service, so the chairs are ready.

A Christmas service RSVP that tells you weeks ahead how many are coming, families and guests included, so you know when to put out the extra chairs. Running more than one service? Make one for each, and you'll see which needs them.

How to set it up

  1. Set the servicePick the date, check the time, and put the church in “Where” with a map link for visitors.
  2. Decide on guestsEach answer can bring up to six more, for a family with visiting relatives. If the space has a limit, set “Total room for”.
  3. Send the linkPut it in the weekly email and the bulletin, or print the QR code. Nobody needs an account to answer.
  4. Plan the roomYour private link shows the total with guests counted, and maybes alongside.

What helps

  • For several services, make one RSVP for each. You'll see which one needs the extra chairs and which has room.
  • Turn on “Hide who's coming” if you'd rather people saw the count and not each other's names.
  • Everyone who says yes or maybe and leaves an email gets a reminder the day before, with a link back to the page.
  • Say in the description that everyone's welcome whether they answer or not. It keeps the RSVP from feeling like a ticket.

Something to send with the link

Copy it into a text, an email or the group chat, change what you like, and paste your link at the end.

Questions people ask

Do guests count toward the total?
Yes. The head count includes everyone each answer brings. Maybes are shown separately and aren't counted against “Total room for”.
Can I hide names?
Yes. Turn on “Hide who's coming”, and people see only the counts. You still see everyone.
Can I run two services from one page?
Each RSVP is for one date and time, so make one for each service and share both links. Families pick the one they'll come to.
