Nursery volunteers sign-up sheet

Who's covering the nursery during the service.

A church nursery volunteer schedule with each Sunday's service and two adults for each, so the nursery is never short-handed. Volunteers claim their own Sundays, and the gaps show up a week before rather than on the morning.

How to set it up

  1. Set the hoursIt starts with four Sundays, 9:45 to 11:15 am, two adults each. Change the times to when the nursery is open.
  2. Check your policyPut your church's requirements in the description, like a background check or training, so only people who've done it sign up.
  3. Send the linkShare it with your approved volunteers. Nobody needs an account.
  4. Never leave one aloneYour private link shows any Sunday with one adult. Fill the second place before the morning.

What helps

  • Many churches keep two unrelated adults in the nursery at all times. Two places a Sunday makes that the default.
  • Share the link only with volunteers who've completed your church's checks, rather than with the whole congregation.
  • The page never asks for a child's name or details, and pages for a faith group ask everyone to keep medical details out of their notes.
  • A list of people with a free account keeps track of who has served and how often, so the same two people aren't on every week.

Something to send with the link

Copy it into a text, an email or the group chat, change what you like, and paste your link at the end.

We need volunteers for the nursery during the service.

Pick a Sunday on the sheet below. It's two adults each week, and you don't need an account. Leave your email and the date goes in your calendar.

Here's the sheet:

Questions people ask

Does it ask for children's names?
No. Only volunteers sign up, under their own names. Pages for a faith group ask whoever makes them to enter adults' names only.
Can I share it with approved volunteers only?
Anyone with the link can open it, so share it with the people you've approved and not more widely. A paid plan can add a PIN to the page.
What if a volunteer cancels?
They cancel from the link in their confirmation email, and the place opens again. If you left your email, you'll see it in that day's 6 pm summary.
