Block party RSVP

A head count for the street.

A block party RSVP with one link through every door on the street: neighbours say if they're coming, how many they're bringing, and what's for the grill. You know how much to plan for without knocking on every door twice.

How to set it up

  1. Set the date and the streetPick the day, check the times, and put the street in “Where”.
  2. Decide on guestsEach answer can bring up to six more, so a household answers once.
  3. Send the linkPrint the QR code on a flyer for every door, and share it in the neighbourhood group.
  4. Plan the foodThe answers to your question are in the spreadsheet on your private link.

What helps

  • Check whether your city needs a permit to close the street, and apply early.
  • A flyer with the QR code reaches the neighbours who aren't in any group chat.
  • Set “Stop taking responses after” a few days before, for the food and the chairs.
  • Everyone who says yes or maybe and leaves an email gets a reminder the day before.

Something to send with the link

Copy it into a text, an email or the group chat, change what you like, and paste your link at the end.

We're having a block party, and the whole street's invited.

Let us know if you're coming and how many of you there'll be, and whether you could bring something to share. It takes a minute and you don't need an account.

Questions people ask

Can a household answer once for everyone?
Yes. This template lets each answer bring up to six guests.
Who sees what people are bringing?
Only you and anybody helping you run the page. The answers to your question are in the spreadsheet on your private link, not on the page.
Do neighbours need an account?
No. They open the link, answer, and that's it. An email is optional and brings a reminder the day before.
