How to set it up
- Check the SundaysIt starts with twelve Sundays from next Sunday, one giver each. Take off any Sunday the church decorates itself, like a major feast day.
- Add the detailsPut the usual cost, the florist you use if there is one, and when to drop them off in the description.
- Send the linkPut it in the bulletin with the QR code, or in the weekly email. Nobody needs an account.
- Print the dedicationsYour private link lists each Sunday and its note, ready to copy into the bulletin.
What helps
- Popular dates, like an anniversary or a memorial, go first. Share the link early in the season.
- “One sign-up each” is on, so the Sundays spread around. Turn it off if you have more Sundays than givers.
- Notes are only shown to you, so a dedication stays private until it's in the bulletin.
- A Sunday has no time on it, so there's no calendar file. A mention in the bulletin the week before is the reminder.
Something to send with the link
Copy it into a text, an email or the group chat, change what you like, and paste your link at the end.
Questions people ask
- Where do people put a dedication?
- In the note when they sign up. Only you and anybody helping you run the page see it, on your private link and in the spreadsheet you can download.
- Can two people share a Sunday?
- Yes. Change how many each row takes to 2 before you make it.
- What if somebody needs a different Sunday?
- They change it from the link in their confirmation email, or on the same phone they signed up on, if the Sunday they want is free.
